Help us shape the way care is delivered for women living with Lipedema

We’re hosting an evening dedicated to listening and learning from those living with lipedema. This is a space to share experiences, highlight gaps in care, and explore what support is still needed.

This isn’t just an information session—it’s a two-way conversation. You’ll have the opportunity to meet our team, learn about the services we offer, and help shape how care evolves in our community.

We’ll start with a brief introduction to each of our team members and the role they may play in supporting people living with lipedema.

This will be followed by an informal, open conversation where you’re invited to share your experiences, ask questions, and provide feedback on how care is currently delivered—and where it may be falling short.

Our goal is to listen, learn, and better understand what matters most to you so we can continue to grow and shape our services in a way that truly meets your needs.

Lipedema

Lipedema is a chronic condition that affects how fat is distributed in the body, most commonly in the hips, thighs, buttocks, and sometimes the arms.

It almost exclusively affects women and is often mistaken for weight gain or lymphedema. People with lipedema may notice symmetrical swelling, tenderness, easy bruising, and a feeling of heaviness in the affected areas.

While the exact cause isn’t fully understood, hormonal and genetic factors are thought to play a role.

With the right support, including education, movement, compression, and hands-on care, people with lipedema can improve comfort, function, and overall quality of life.
